The Smyer Board of Alderman will be holding a special meeting on Aug. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church.
Aldermen are expected to go into executive session to discuss personnel and a Smyer Volunteer Fire Department fire chief and take necessary action.
Aldermen are also expected to act on building permits.
The board is expected to conduct a budget work session for fiscal year Oct. 1 to Sept. 30 2027, and discuss a proposed utility rate increase and tax rate. No action will be taken.
