The City of Sundown have issued a notice of a special election slated for May 4, which is also the day of the general election is held.
The polling location will be held at Sundown City Hall, 809 S. Slaughter Avenue and hours of operation for voting will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted each weekday at Sundown City Hall between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. beginning on April 22, and ending on April 30.

Applications for ballot by mail must be received no later than the close of business on April 23 by 5 p.m. Issued this the 13th day of February, 2024.
Registered voters for the City of Sundown will be voting on the reauthorization of the local sales and use tax in the City of Sundown at the rate of one-fourth of one percent to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair for municipal streets. The tax expires on the fourth anniversary of the date of this election unless the imposition of the tax is reauthorized.
