The city of Ropesville will be holding a Fourth of July parade and activities to honor freedom and celebrate the community.
Parade line-up is at 9:30 a.m. at the school; the parade begins at 10 a.m.
There will be other activities following the parade at the community building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
Morton July 4 Celebration
The city of Morton will be holding a 4th of July Comance munity Celebration. On July 3, there will be a brisket cookoff, cornhole tournament and DJ starting at 6 p.m.

On Saturday the parade will begin at 10 .m., with vendors available all day and a Show & Smile at 2 p.m. Live entertainment will be provided by the Reveldes.

Revive VFW Post
There will be a meeting of veterans on July 17 at 6 p.m. to help revive the VFW Post in Levelland. The meeting will be held at the Levelland Fire Station.
All veterans are encouraged to attend.
