Whitharral FFA scores wins in LDE contests
Anton ISD 3rd-5th grade students had the opportunity to visit Caprock Canyon State Park on a field trip this past where Park Ranger Natalie who helps manage and monitor natural resources, provide visitor services, maintain trails and facilities, and support educational programs. Park Ranger Natalie’s educational focus includes the park’s history, the Southern Plains Bison herd, and other park wildlife, including the local bat population and prairie dogs. (Anton ISD photo)
STATE PARK FIELD TRIP--
LISD on Monday celebrated Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a cherished Mexican tradition where families honor and remember their loved ones who have passed away. LHS art students created Sugar Skull, a symbol of the celebration that represent the joy, personality and spirit as a reminder of life and death are an ongoing story, inspired by art teacher Kristy Kristinek. Robyn Parkinson, LISD school counselor, was honored as the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension - Hockley County 2025 Distinguished Leader and Salute to Excellence winner. Parkinson has worked for LISD for 26 years and has dedicated 15 years of service to the Hockley County 4-H program. (Hockley County Extension Office photo).
