Texas Senate replaces STAAR exam

The Texas Senate voted to replace the STAAR exam in public schools with plans to replace the test with three shorter exams.The provision was part of HB 8, a larger school accountability bill by House Public Education Chair Rep. Brad Buckley and sponsored in the Senate by Sen. Paul Bettencourt.

HB 25 allows Ivermectin for over the counter use

The Texas Senate passed HB 25 to make Ivermectin available over the counter in our state, with emphasis on rural areas.The bill was authored by Edgewood Sen. Bob Hall and added to the special session agenda by Gov. Greg Abbott.
