State announces monthly sales tax revenue total

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar has announced state sales tax revenue totaled $4.24 billion in April, 7.1 percent more than in April 2024.The majority of April sales tax revenue is based on sales made in March and remitted to the agency in April.

4/30/25 – 5 P.M. – LEVELLANDThe LFD were dispatched to the 300 block of Pecan to reports of a five-year old stuck on a roof. The Fire department laddered the residence and proceeded to get the child off the roof. Once child was on the ground the fire department cleared the scene.4/30/25 – 12:45 P.M.

City of Levelland building permits issued through April

A total of 137 building permits have been issued by the City of Levelland totaling roughly $6 million while 41 permits were issued during April totaling $1 million.Four single-family permits have been issued this year for a total of $245,000. Two business building permits were issued for roughly $1.
