City to accept applications for council spots

During its January 6 council meeting, the Levelland City Council is slated to order the next General Election.This year’s election will be held on May 3, 2025. The City of Levelland will have two City Council positions on the ballot: District B and District D.

Hockley County rollover results in drivers death

A 35-year-old Lubbock man died from his injuries after a rollover on FM 1585, half a mile east of FM 168 in Hockley County.A Texas DPS report states Jacob David Dorrity was traveling east on FM 1585 around 2 a.m.

Texas’ civilian labor force achieved another new record high in November.In addition, Texas’ seasonally adjusted total nonfarm employment increased to 14,286,700 after 9,100 jobs were added over the month. Texas added 274,300 jobs from November 2023 to November 2024.
