SPC online registration begins November 8

Online registration will open at 8 a.m. on Nov. 8 for the winter interim and Spring 2025 semester at all South Plains College locations.Current students are encouraged to log in to MySPC or visit the SPC Advising webpage for advising and testing information.The winter interim begins on Dec.

Gardening tips to prepare for winter

Early fall is the best time for Texans to prepare their garden for winter. A good rule of “green” thumb is the farther north you live in the state, the sooner you need to start preparing.

POPCORN TIME
TRUNK OR TREAT 2024 - Levelland Main Street along with the Levelland Noon Lions Club hosted their annual Trunk or Treat event Thursday evening in downtown Levelland. Community members were encouraged to do some trick-or-treating around the square as it offered a safe area to get free candy, play games and wear costumes. A haunted house was also an attraction during the event. Dozens of vendors were in attendence to offer candy. (Staff photo by Evin Thomas)

Daylight savings ends Nov. 3

On Sunday, November 3, community members will need to turn back their clocks one hour as daylight saving’s comes to an end for 2024.Daylight saving time is the time between March and November when most Americans adjust their clocks ahead by one hour.

City of Levelland implements new utility rates

New utility rates went into effect for the City of Levelland as of Nov. 1.Deposits for inside the city limits will be $75 plus a $15 service charge. Deposits for those outside the city limits will be $110 plus a service charge of $15.
