TDA expands Family Land Heritage program

For America’s 250 celebration, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller recently announced an expansion to the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Family Land Heritage Program. In 2026, the program will recognize 50and 70-year-old farms and ranches as well as ones that are centuries old.

Levelland Middle School GEAR and Robotics teacher Reba Griggs has been awarded $5,000 to update the extra-curricular technology program to replace an aging, non-functional fleet of Tello Education drones.

City council hears concerns over drag show

During the Levelland City Council meeting held on June 15, the council heard citizens' opinions on the upcoming drag show event to be held in Levelland.

The Levelland city council met this past Monday to address ordinances, public facilities reservations and audit services.A special meeting was held prior to the regular meeting for an executive session.

Big 12 files lawsuit against TTU
