Texas in-person ID verification for unemployment benefits now available

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) has partnered with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) and the United States Postal Service (USPS) to offer statewide in-person identity (ID) verification for unemployment benefit claims.

USDA sets application deadline for emergency relief

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced the deadline for commodity and specialty crop producers to apply for the Emergency Relief Program (ERP) for 2022 natural disaster losses is Aug. 14, 2024. USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) began accepting ERP 2022 applications in October 2023.

Cotton futures make marginal gains last week

Last Friday’s WASDE put pressure on prices, but Monday saw a triple-digit rally in futures prices. Prices fluctuated throughout the week due to speculators continuing to cover short positions and potentially favorable rainfall in Texas.The December contract rose 106 points, settling at 71.
