Texas commuters see more savings, time traveled

Commuters across Texas reaped time and cost savings valued at more than $3 billion last year, thanks to transportation improvements and pandemicrelated trends that made their drives quicker than just a few years ago, according to a new report from the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI).

2/14/2024 - 1800 block of Wilson - 3:55 P.M. Officers responded to the area to conduct a warrant service. One individual was arrested. 2/10/2024 - 600 block of Clubview Lane - 3:55 A.M. An officer initiated a traffic stop in the area.

2/10/2024 - DISPATCHED 1:55 P.M. - CLEARED 4:35 P.M. LEVELLAND The LFD received a report of a house fire in the 1200 block of Avenue J. Upon arrival, a storage building was on fire in the rear of the residence.

Court Report

Disposed criminal cases filed in the 286th District Court: State v. Joe Anthony Torres, convicted for the offense of Sexual Assault. Punishment includes confinement for two years, probation for three years and a fine of $3,000. State v.

Primary candidate forum slated for February 22

The Levelland Chamber of Commerce and the Levelland Emerging and Active professionals (LEAP) will be holding a primary candidate forum for the upcoming primary election, February 22 beginning at 6 p.m. The forum will be held at the South Plains College Sundown Room located at 1401 S.

City issues reminder regarding signs

A reminder that the following is prohibited: Any sign attached to any tree, shrub, public light fixture, utility poles, public telephone poles, public buildings (other than an on–premises attached sign), fences, or railings.
