10/4/2023 - DISPATCHED 7:30 A.M. - CLEARED 7:45 A.M. LEVELLAND The LFD received a report of an individual had locked her daughter in her car in the 100 block of Sandalwood. While enroute, fire crews attempted to get a wrecker to assist. However, the wrecker was unavailable.

Texas Night Out brings community together

The community was invited to attend and have some fun Tuesday at Double U Park, to celebrate Texas Night Out with the Blue and You 501c3 nonprofit.

Hockley County detainee’s death causes investigation

Hockley County Sheriff Ray Scifres announced that on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at approximately 7:30 a.m., a 60-yearold male who was detained in the jail facility was pronounced deceased after being transported to an area hospital due to a medical issue.

Hockley County Judge Sharla Baldridge earns CCAC certification

Hockley County Judge Sharla Baldridge was honored on Oct. 4 for her completion of a voluntary advanced course on county government titled Commissioners Court Advanced Curriculum (CCAC).

RRC discusses Rule 8 overhaul
