Keep Levelland Beautiful (KLB) is still taking submissions for the Spring and Summer Photo Contest.Community members are invited to showcase their photography skills to show what makes Levelland so special.

Hockley County Walk Across Texas kicks off

The kick-off event for the Hockley County AgriLife Walk Across Texas event was set to be held on June 15 at the courthouse gazebo with snacks, prizes and the Walk the First Mile Around the Square.

KLB, Hockley Library partner for Eggsplore & Grow

Keep Levelland Beautiful recently partnered with the Hockley County Memorial Library and their summer reading program to provide local children with a fun and educational experience focused on bees, pollination, and environmental stewardship.

DOJ targets 17 naturalized citizens for criminal activity

The Department of Justice announced that it filed denaturalization actions in various U.S. district courts against 17 individuals accused of serious offenses—including sexual abuse of a minor, wire and bank fraud and distributing drugs wholesale without a license.

Hockley County Tax sales tax allocation

Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock announced he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.3 billion in local sales tax allocations for June, 7.4% more than in June 2025.These allocations are based on sales made in April by businesses that report tax monthly.
