The City of Levelland and Keep Levelland Beautiful are working together for the ‘2025 Levelland Go CLEAN’ initiative held from March 14 to March 28.
The city is assisting community members with spring cleaning by providing no cost sites for disposal of spring cleaning waste.
Seven containers have been placed around Levelland, those locations include: the Kauffman Park, Jefferson Street and Martin Luther King, Brookhollow and South College, 3rd Street and Avenue D, 1700 Avenue H (North of City Hall), Lee Street and Avenue Q and the Levelland Recycling Center.
The recycling center is located west of the intersection of A&M Lane and Alamo Road. The Levelland Landfill is located at 3590 Bobwhite.
Used oil and filters will need to be taken to 302 Avenue G or the recycling center. There is a 10 gallon limit and no commercial businesses or vendors are accepted. Car or truck batteries and cell phones and rechargeables will only be accepted at the recycling center. Loose paper will only be accepted at the recycling center.
Appliances can be taken to the recycling center or landfill. The refrigerant must be removed by a certified technician prior to disposal.
The unit must also be tagged by a technician. Metals will be accepted at both the landfill and recycling center.
Tires will only be accepted at the landfill with a minimal fee and rims must be removed. Concrete will only be accepted at the landfill. Dirt will not be accepted and rebar will not be accepted.
Any liquids, chemicals or chemical containers of any kind along with radioactive or hazardous materials of any kind will not be accepted at any location.
