Breakfast Rotary Club seeks flag service subscribers

The Levelland Breakfast Rotary Club is accepting new subscribers to its Community Flag Service for 2025.

The Community Flag Service provides a way for subscribers to show their patriotism on six holidays throughout the 2025 calendar year.

A new holiday observance, National First Responders Day on Oct. 28 has been added to the schedule, according to Stephen John, club spokesperson.

“We added this observance to our flag service schedule because of the importance and the appreciation our community places on its first responders,” said John. “The Breakfast Rotary Club plans to use Oct. 28 to recognize the service and sacrifices our first responders provide to our citizens.”

Rotary Club members will put out U.S. flags at your home or place of business on Memorial Day, May 26; Flag Day, June 14; Independence Day, July 4; Patriot Day, September 11; First Responders Day, October 28; and Veterans Day, November 11.

Cost for the service is $35 per flag.

“Our Rotary Club has a number of faithful subscribers who renew each year, but we have additional openings for subscriptions,” said John. “It’s a great service that helps support our community projects. We are very appreciative of those individuals and businesses that continue to support this project each year.”

Renewal notices have been mailed to current subscribers, John said.

Proceeds from the service allow the Levelland Breakfast Rotary Club to award scholarships to Levelland High graduates to attend South Plains College, to support youth leadership programs, and to help with other community projects.
