Levelland residents will have a full calendar of events throughout the month of April, ranging from community celebrations and meetings to scholarship deadlines and local gatherings.
The month kicks off with the return of the ABC Pro Rodeo, scheduled for April 2-4 at the Mallet Event Center. The annual event brings multiple nights of rodeo action and entertainment to the community.
Several important dates follow, including Good Friday on April 3 and the deadline for YELL scholarships due on April 6.
Community meetings and local events will continue throughout the month. The Marigolds meeting is set for April 9, followed by Yucca Blossom Days from April 10-11. Levelland Centennial activities are also scheduled for April 11.
Residents can attend a candidates’ forum on April 14 from 6 to 8 p.m., along with leadership Levelland events taking place the same day Additional meetings include the YELL meeting on Friday, April 15, and the Chamber Ag Committee meeting on April 16 at noon. Agricultural scholarship applications are also due April 16.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony for Whataburger is planned for April 16 at 3 p.m., offering community members a chance to celebrate the new business.
The month will wrap up with a Business After Hours event on April 30 from 5 to 7 p.m.
