The Hockley County Memorial Library announced this year’s Summer Reading Program, “Unearth a Story”.
The program encourages children and adults alike to avoid summer boredom with a good book.
Registration begins Monday June 1 . Parents or guardians will fill out a registration form for each child and receive the first activity set. Children can be registered until July 17.
Each child will have their name displayed in the library to show they are participating. For each activity set completed and returned to the library before 4:30 p.m. on July 31, they will receive a prize. There are eight activity sets this summer, which is about one set to be completed per week of the summer program.
