Danny Engledow

Our Precious Pappy, Danny Engledow (61), has gone on to his heavenly home to be with Jesus on May 27, 2026. He fought an amazing battle with cancer that he finally won as he walks the streets of gold, pain free.

His legacy is one that completely blows our minds! One of the toughest and hardest working men that we have ever seen or known. He was considered an “Old School Pump Jacker” that we know will be greatly missed. He poured so much of his life into the oilfield of West Texas as he was still working two weeks prior to his departure from earth.

Those left to cherish the memories are his wife Mary, their five children and their spouses. Zach and Tammie Engledow of Hemet, California, Jessica and Patrick Montgomery of Levelland, Texas, Joe and Bethany Engledow of Palm Harbor Florida, Jessica and Jacob Tucker of Levelland Texas and Stephen and Laura Hougland of Rainbow City Alabama. Thirteen beautiful grandchildren that he loved more than he could put into words; Hope, Zechariah, Ezekiel, Jacob, Tyler, Hailey a.k.a Lil Nado, Lilly, Charlie Pearl, Sadie, Caydence, L.J., Jackson and Hank. Last but not least his great grandson Levi bringing up the caboose.

To his brother Earl and wife Jana Engledow there are no words to express his love to both of you for walking this journey with him and our family. Never wavering in your support and love for him no matter what.

He leaves behind five siblings Carol Graf and Larry, Robby Engledow and Nancy, Earl Engledow and Jana, Tim Engledow, Diane Lane as well as several nephews and nieces.

We will forever be grateful as a family.

Saying “see you later” to Danny was the hardest thing we had to do as a family and there are no words to express the immense pain we are feeling. But we know we shall see him again!

He was proceeded in death by his father Ervin Engledow (Grandpa), Mother Mary Beard (Nanny Mert) and sister Virginia Sue Engledow (Suzy).

Please continue to pray for our family and know that we have all leaned into Jesus as we continue our journey here on earth without our Pappy. The Man, The Myth & The Legend Danny Engledow.

At a later date there will be a private celebration of life.
