Local audiences can kick off Independence Day weekend with an evening of authentic country music as John PayCheck & The Cavalry bring their high-energy honky-tonk sound to the Wallace Theater on July 3.
The son of country legend Johnny PayCheck, John is carrying the tradition forward with acclaimed original music, road-tested performances, and a show designed to get audiences on their feet. PayCheck brings a high-energy show built on authentic songs, strong musicianship and a deep respect for country music traditions carrying the tradition forward with his own modern sound and band, “We’re excited to welcome John PayCheck & The Cavalry to the Wallace Theater to kick off Independence Day weekend,” said Executive Director Alycyn Keeling. “John brings the kind of authentic country sound that resonates deeply with audiences across West Texas. His music honors country tradition while bringing a fresh energy that is all his own. We’ll even have a dance floor set up, so guests can enjoy the music the way it was meant to be. We know this will be a fantastic way for families, friends and country music fans to celebrate the holiday weekend together.”
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with burgers available at the concession. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Ticket holders may order food in advance.
