Keep Levelland Beautiful (KLB) is reminding residents that the deadline to register for the Community- Wide Garage Sale is July 27. Residents who register by the deadline will have their garage sale included on the Chamber Community Wide Garage Sale website and social media, helping shoppers easily find participating locations throughout Levelland. A list will also be available beginning July 28, that can be picked up during office hours, as well as the list being posted on the door of the chamber office on the day of the sale. KLB is also partnering with the Lubbock Habitat ReSale Store to help residents give unwanted items a second life after the sale. A Habitat Re-Sale donation truck will be available from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the day of the Community- Wide Garage Sale to collect eligible donated items. The truck will be parked behind the Levelland Chamber of Commerce. Due to limited truck capacity, donations will be accepted on a first-come, firstserved basis until the truck is full. Residents are encour- couraged to arrive early if they plan to donate leftover sale items. KLB will also have a rolloff trash container available behind the chamber office, so residents can easily throw away trash left from their garage sale.
“This partnership gives residents an easy way to clear out remaining items while supporting a great cause,” said Angie Covarrubias, Keep Levelland Beautiful Coordinator. “Instead of sending usable items to the landfill, we encourage everyone to consider donating them so they can continue serving families in our region.”
Residents who have not yet registered their garage sale are encouraged to do so before the July 27 deadline.
