The Wallace Theater is seeking two female and five male actors from the Levelland/Lubbock area for Cornerstones of Courage, a Readers Theater production with four total performances on Nov. 11 and Nov. 14–15 for Veterans Day Week.
Seasoned and newer performers are encouraged to audition. Selected actors will receive a $250 stipend for their performances.
Roles being filled include: -One male actor, ages 18-25: William (Bill Bordelon); -Two male actors, ages 18-35: Narrators 1 and 2; -One female actor, ages 20-40: Narrator 3 -One female actor, ages 40-60: Narrator 4 -Two male actors, ages 40-60+, Narrators 5 and 6 Audition video submissions are due by Wednesday, Oct. 7.
Cornerstones of Courage tells the story of 22-year-old Marine William Bordelon, the first Texan to receive a posthumous Medal of Honor for his bravery during World War II. Actors read multiple roles and voices from script books, accompanied by music and projected visuals.
Performances will take place on Nov. 11 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. (students only) and public performances on Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. and November 15 at 2 p.m. at the Wallace Theater.
