Christ United Methodist Church will be hosting its annual Blessing of the Animals Sunday, September 11. The event will be held from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. on the front lawn of the church. Any type of pet and/or service animal are welcome. A Blessing of Animals, in many congregations, witnesses to the church’s and God’s love, care and concern for creation.
As we recognize the mutual interdependence with God’s creatures, the church’s witness of stewardship of creation is strengthened. This event is also a service with special appeal to children.
