The Levelland Lobo band will be competing in the UIL Area A Marching Contest Saturday, October, 29, at the Shotwell Stadium in Abilene. Schedule for Saturday is as
follows:
--5:45 a.m.: Band hall opens and uniform check out; –6:15 a.m.: Buses and trailer arrive at high school; loading begins; and –6:45 a.m.; Depart from high
school. The public and all band parents are invited to an early morning send-off for the band members at the high school. Estimated arrival time to the stadium is 10 a.m. located at 1525 East South 11th Street. The bandsmen will change into uniforms and will have a warm-up period from 11:05 a.m. until 11:50 a.m. The LHS Lobo band reports to the ramp at 11:55 a.m.; enter the field at 12:10 p.m. and will be performing at exactly 12:15 p.m.
The performance will end at 12:30 p.m. and the students will change out of uniforms, load equipment onto trailer and buses.
Lunch will be from 1 p.m until 2 p.m. at Potter’s Pizza, located at 3802 Buffalo Gap Road. At 3:30 p.m. the final prelims performance and announcement of results will be held. The prelims results will determine the remainder of the itinerary.
