The Texas Library Association (TLA) recently awarded the City of Sundown Public Library with the Branding Iron Award. The library was recognized for its special Historic Heroes exhibit, a “110 Stories” theater production presented by the school in partnership with the City of Sundown; along with a traveling 911 Museum set-up in the foyer of the school during the
theater presentation; as well as approximately 20 Military Veterans books purchased by the Hockley County Endowment Foundation Grant.
