Max competed in the North Texas Pro Golf Association Fall Series Championship at the Gaines County Golf Course over the weekend where he shot one under par and won first place!     Several Morton High School football players received alldistrict honors for UIL Class 2A-2 Region I, District 4.

    Morton is classified as a 1A school, but because they play 11man football, they play in 2A district with larger schools for football.

    Sophomore Christian Enriquez earned all-district first team as a running back, while senior Cy Marshall was first team offensive lineman.

    Andreas Bejarano, a sophomore was first team utility player.

    Junior Alex Lopez was listed on the second team as a running back.

    Senior defensive backs Xavier Ramon and Vicente Ramon received honorable mention.

    Sophomores Cade Lyon (linebacker), Layne Lyon (offensive line) also received honorable mention, along with freshman E.J. Rivas at running back.

    The Indians finished their season 2-8.

    Several Whiteface Antelopes received UIL Region II, District 5 All-District high school six-man football honors.

    The Antelopes finished their season at 9-3 overall with a 3-0 district record and both a district and bi-district championship.

    Antelopes making the first team offense: Ethan Kauffman (most valuable player); Brighton Scoggins (tight end); Jeremias Chavez (wide receiver); Beau Brewer (center); Jeremiah Rendon (quarterback); Noah Rendon (running back); Julio Borunda (fullback); Damian Castaneda (special teams).

    On defense: Scoggins (most valuable player); Auscar Gandara and Joel Fortner (defensive line); Borunda (linebacker); Chavez (cornerback); Jeremiah Rendon (safety); Kauffman (defensive utility player).

    Second team offense: Jaxon Heflin (running back); Gavin Baker (utility player); Jeremiah Soliz (special teams).

    Second team defense: Noah Rendon (linebacker).
