Levelland High School freshmen Jaycee Webb (left) and Julia Acevedo share their village creation that was made in Mrs. Jodi Coleman’s English I class. Students were challenged to come up with an idea that would make them excited about writing poetry. Students suggested creating a Christmas village and collaborated on everything that make up a productive town. Students created buildings from jails to churches, from Walmart to Santa’s Workshop and an ice skating rink, as well as a Stripes convenience store. Each student was challenged to write a poem about the building they created and how it contributes to society. Jaycee and Julia created a church for the Christmas village. (Submitted Photo)
