Private services held for Glenda S. Burton

Private graveside services for Glenda Sue Burton, 82, of Levelland, were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, at City of Levelland Cemetery, with Minister James Jones officiating.

Internment was held in the City of Levelland Cemetery, under the direction of Head Duarte Funeral Home of Levelland.

Visitation was held Monday, December 12, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel.

She passed away December 11, 2022, in Levelland.

Glenda was born February 5, 1940, to Virgil Henry and Audie Mae Greene, in Odessa.

She graduated from Levelland High School.

Glenda married Allen Burton in 1982 in Clovis, New Mexico.

She worked as a customer service representative for Walmart Supercenter and Billy Price Western Auto Store in Levelland for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Allen Burton; and a granddaughter, Tiffany Thompson.

She is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Randal) Whatley of Wichita Falls and Sharon Beaver of Lubbock; sons: Perry (Christa) Redden and Keith Burton, both of Lubbock, Stacey (Tammy) Redden of Levelland and Scott (Becky) Burton of Amarillo; sisters: Faye Barry of Marble Falls and Sheila Farrar of Levelland; brothers, Johnny Greene of Kingsland and Lonnie Greene of Granite Shoals; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-GLENDA grandchildren.
