A new internet provider will be entering the Levelland market after the Levelland City Council unanimously approved a water tower lease agreement with Nate’s Access, LLC.
With the approval of the council to utilize all three water towers, the provider will be able to place transmitters and receivers in various location upon the water towers located at 302 Avenue G, 1700 block of Lee Street and 300 block of Adams Street.
During the regularly scheduled council meeting December 19, Nate Edwards answered any questions the council presented in regard to his company.
Council Member Jim Myatt asked where the company was in terms of quality of service and if was comparable to current competitors such as Vexus.
Edwards explained that the service provided by his company is certainly comparable with the updated equipment that has been recently released in the industry.
As far as plans that are offered by competitor Vexus, Edwards added that his company can easily reach their mid-tier plan with their currently offered services, as well as Nate’s Access providing higher numbers in latency and speeds.
Edwards added that costs and pricing with his company will not fluctuate or have any hidden fees. Once a customer begins or signs up for any one of the three plans offered, the price will not increase or adjust for any reason.
An additional positive Edward’s felt about his product is the customer service that is offered.
In most circumstances, Edwards is able to adjust and fix most problems instantly or within the moment of receiving issues with the service.
Based in Levelland, Edward’s has been established for the better part of two years.
The transmitters that will be placed along side the water tower are estimated to be the size of a shoe box or slightly longer in width and shallower in width.
Edwards assured the council that the items placed upon the water tower would not interfere with the aesthetics of the towers Within the lease agreement, Edwards is responsible for placing equipment or going out for a contractor to take of the job.
If there was a reason for Edwards to relocate or take down the equipment, he would have the responsibility of making sure that would happen.
With the devices placed at each tower, the distance reached from each tower is estimated at six to eight miles given quality conditions.
Ewards is currently offering wifi services in various Levelland locations and areas within the county.
