12/31/22 – DISPATCH 4:23 PM – CLEARED 5 PM – LEVELLAND The fire department received a report of a powerline down in the middle of an alley in the 200 block of Avenue D. Upon arrival, found the down powerline and stoodby for Excel Energery. 12/30/22 – DISPATCH 3:22 PM – CLEARED 3:46 PM – HOCKLEY COUNTY The fire department received reports of a small grass fire located on Highway 82 and Foster Road near Ropesville. Upon arrival, no fire was present. After checking surrounding areas, the all-clear was given. 12/28/22 – DISPATCH 1 PM – CLEARED 2:20 PM – LEVELLAND The fire department received a call referencing a portable swimming pool that had tangled in electrical lines at a residence int the 200 block of Darrell Street. Upon arrival, the pool had been found to be in contact with an electrical line with no arcing. Xcel Energy was notified and responded to the location. The pool was removed without incident by Excel personnel. 12/28/22–DISPATCH10:53AM–CLEARED1:52PM–LEVELLAND The fire department received a call from dispatch in reference to a gas leak in the 100 block of Holly Circle. Fire units were placed on standby while Atmos Energy addressed the problem. 12/27/22 - DISPATCH 2 PM – CLEARED 2:55 PM – HOCKLEY COUNTY Dispatch received reports of a grassfire across Bell Mobile Homes, 2400 E Highway 114. Upon arrival, fire units observed multiple spot fires. Fire personnel extinguished all hotspots and returned to the station. 12/27/22 – DISPATCH 2:08 PM – CLEARED 2:34 PM – LEVELLAND The fire department received a call from dispatch in reference to a residential fire alarm in the 100 block of Capitol Avenue. After arriving to the residence, there was no smoke detected. Fire personnel looked through the residence and determined the home was okay.
12/23/22 - DISPATCH 6:46 AM - CLEARED 7:05 PM LEVELLAND The fire department received a call from a resident in the 700 block of MLK St., in reference to a fire alarm going off. After arrival, it was determined there were no fires and the fire alarm was reset.
12/22/22 - DISPATCH 3:32 PM - CLEARED 3:58 PM LEVELLAND The fire department received a call from dispatch stating there was a vehicle accident at the intersection of College Avenue and 2nd Street and a driver was trapped. Upon arrival, the occupants of the vehicles were removed from the vehicles and fire units stood by.
12/21/22 - DISPATCH 3:01 PM - CLEARED 3:29 PM LEVELLAND Fire units were dispatched to the 2000 block of Mustang Drive to assist police with a forcible entry. Upon arrival, fire personnel checked the residence as there were no windows or doors with quick access. After receiving authorization from the police captain on shift, the back door was forced open and entry to the back door was gained. The body of the resident was found. The scene remained under the police department as fire personnel was released.
12/20/22 - 11:20 AM - CLEARED 11:35 AM - LEVELLAND
Fire units were dispatched to the 1600 block of 9th Street to assist EMS with a forcible entry through a front door of a residence. EMS made contact with the homeowner who advised she was not feeling well and had been sleeping. Units cleared the area and returned to service.
12/20/22 - DISPATCH 4:03 AM - CLEARED 4:20 AM - LEVLLAND The fire department received a call reporting a gas leak in the 1800 Block of 9th Street. Upon arrival, fire personnel plugged the leak with a small plug. The department contacted Atmos for a proper repair.
12/18/22 - DISPATCH 5:12 AM - CLEARED 5:26 AM LEVELLAND The fire department received a call that a residence in the 1700 block of Avenue G had a smoke detector going off and the resident requested units check the alarm. Upon arrival, personnel replaced the batteries in the alarm.
12/15/22 – DISPATCH 8:23 PM – CLEARED 10:12 PM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The fire department received a call referencing to two piles of cotton on fire on the ground in a field near the 1300 block of S Barton Lane and Cactus Road. The land, property own requested the fire department travel to the area and extinguish the fire.
12/14/22 – DISPATCH 6:59 PM – CLEARED 10:16 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department was requested for assistance at the intersection of US Highway 385 and W FM 1585 by EMS. Fire personnel worked on the extrication of one occupant and assisted in patient care.
