The Cochran County Stock Show is quickly approaching and is one of the most anticipated events to kick off 2023.
The stock show will be consisting of kids from Morton FFA, Cochran County 4H and Whiteface FFA.

Showing for Cochran County is: Jeremias Chavez, four Lambs; Cesar Chavez, four Lambs; Cason Couch, three Rabbits; Reegan Couch, three Rabbits; and Colyn Smith, three Rabbits.

Beginning January 11, lamb weigh-ins will begin with goat weigh-ins beginning immediately after the lamb’s are all accounted for.
To start January 12, the barrow weigh-ins will go from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The lamb show will begin that day at 6 p.m. The goat show will follow the conclusion of the lamb show and the Lamb and Goat Showmanship.
The gilt show will begin at 9 a.m. on January 13. The barrow show will begin after the gilt show.
Steer weigh-ins will begin at 11 a.m. followed by the heifer show at 3 p.m. The steer show will begin after the heifer show and the day will wrap up with the Cattle Showmanship.
For January 14, the day will begin with an 8 a.m. Ag mechanics show and the rabbit weigh-in. The rabbit show will kick off at 9 a.m.
A meal at the Morton ISD Cafeteria will be held at 12 p.m. at 500 W Champion in Morton.
The awards presentation will begin at 1:30 p.m. followed by the premium sale.
Barn setup will begin January 8 at 2 p.m., while prize money will be handed out at barn clean-up Sunday, January 15, at 2 p.m.
