The Hockley County Commissioners Court will be holding a special meeting, Monday, January 30, at 9 a.m. in the Hockley County Courthouse.
The court will begin with normal business which includes the approval of the minutes of the previous meeting which was held January 16 and the approval of all monthly bills and claims submitted to the court dated through January 30.
The group will consider and potentially approve advertising for bids for one new 2023 pickup truck, with no trade in, for the use of precinct two, which would need to be delivered within 120 days of it’s approval.
For precinct three, the court will advertise for bids for four new 2023 pickup trucks with no trade in that would need to be delivered within 120 days of the bid acceptance.
The court will take necessary action to approve the final plat for lots one through 20, Rocking “T” Estates which is a subdivision and part of tract 14 in the Ropesville Farm project located in precinct one.
Necessary action will be taken to approve a tax deed for lots one and two in Block Seven, R.F and J.H. Goodrich Addition, to be purchased by Jose Perez for the amount of $1,500.
The court will hear an update from District Attorney Angela Overman concerning the essential grant submission and will take necessary action to approve the proposed resolution for the County Essential Services Grant as submitted by Overman.
Submission of the 2023 Seizure and Forfeiture account balances and request for review of expenditures pursuant to C.C.P. as presented by the district attorney is on the agenda.
To conclude the meeting, the court will convene into executive session.
