ANOTHER DAY WITH DOM!

I don’t have the best memory, but I cannot remember the last time we had back-to-back winter storms in late January heading into February.

With these freezing temperatures I hope everyone is staying warm and safe.

We’ve reached into freezing temperatures where pipes, facuets and other lines are beginning to freeze.

Stay mindful of those issues because no one wants to deal with that.

It’s hard to ignore the number of wrecks that have take place during these past winter storms we have had to grow through.

We all have phones and access to instant news reports and I have seen nothing but single vehicle collisions or wrecks that consist of several individuals and multiple cars.

Icy and hazardous conditions and few and far in between for us, but it is apparent that we need to be more cautious.

The News-Press has yet to receive reports on the incident, but I want to extend the prayers of our staff to the families and community of Ropes as two students were involved in a wreck that has left one dead at the time of this writing.

It’s a tragic event and Ropes has had their fair share of difficult experiences in the past.

I can’t imagine what those students, friends and family are dealing with at this time, but I know there are hundreds of individuals sending their thoughts and prayers to the Ropes community.
