It is amazing how fast time seems to move. Last week, Levelland ISD celebrated the 100th day of the school year.
In many ways, our first day of school seems like it was just a few weeks ago.
The students have been working incredibly hard this year to accomplish the requirements we set before them.
As members of the community, you have more than likely been involved in one or more student events this school year. School districts are a vital component in communities and Levelland ISD is no different in this aspect.
The community of Levelland continuously rally’s behind and supports the students in their endeavors.
Education is also an important topic at the state level. The 88th Legislature’s regular session began January 10th and runs through May 29th.
Numerous education related bills have already been filed by both the house and the senate.
Undoubtedly, there will be new requirements and mandates for schools as a result of this legislative session. One thing is for certain, change is inevitable.
Albert Einstein stated, “The measure of intelligence is the ability to change”. Levelland ISD’s mission is the Relentless Pursuit of Excellence for Our Students. As new laws are passed and more requirements are placed on schools, Levelland ISD will adapt and change to continue to expect excellence and serve all our students.
