Hunter Torres pitched a five inning no-hitter to lead the Ropes Eagles past the Claude Mustangs in UIL high school baseball action last Thursday in Ira.
Torres had 10 strikeouts and no walks in the effort.
The Eagles led 1-0 through the third inning. An eight run fourth inning and a run in the fifth sealed the Mustangs’ fate.
Torres also helped himself with two runs and two RBIs on two hits.
Stetson Wims had two runs and an RBI on a run and a walk.
Braxxin Partington had a run and two RBIs on two hits. Logan Delgado had a run and an RBI on three hits.
Mason Marmolejo had a run and an RBI on one hit.

Mason Marmolejo went four innings with 10 strikeouts for a no-hitter for the Ropes Eagles in a 17-0 road win over the Post Antelopes in UIL high school baseball action last Friday.
Ropes went up 4-0 in the first inning, 8-0 in the second and 13-0 in the third.
Marmolejo helped himself at the plate as well with four runs and an RBI off three hits and a walk.
Braxxin Partington had four runs and two RBIs on three hits. Logan Delgado had three runs and four RBIs from two hits.
Kade Franklin had two runs and an RBI with a walk.
Hunter Torres had two runs and a walk.
