-LISD celebrated Ag Awareness Week this week! Texas Farm Bureau sent our teachers their book of the year: I Love Strawberries by Shannon Anderson. You could find students learning about & eating strawberries everywhere all week. Some teachers taught the math in the story, including economics lessons. Some taught science from the story: life cycles of plants & where different foods come from to why ladybugs are good for plants. Reading teachers focused on vocabulary words like harvest, germination, seedling, & more. This was a great way to focus on Ag Awareness Week & Levelland ISD sends out a huge thank you to Texas Farm Bureau for the books & lesson ideas. We appreciate the support!
