5/1/2023 – DISPATCH: 2:22 AM – CLEARED: 2:43 AM – LEVELLAND
The fire department responded to a beeping smoke detector on the 800 block of Avenue F at approximately 2:20 a.m. The report states fire personnel checked the smoke detector and returned to the station.
4/30/2023 – DISPATCH 7:30 PM – CLEARED 7:57 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department was dispatched by an alarm company to the old OXY building at FM 300 and West Avenue at 7:30 p.m. Upon arrival, fire personnel were advised the fire alarms were going off at the new OXY building on the 1000 block of FM 300. Fire personnel responded to the new location and upon arrival found alarms going off with an error code. Fire personnel silenced the alarm and walked the building with a supervisor.
4/29/2023 – DISPATCH 4:15 PM – CLEARED 4:38 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department was dispatched to the 1300 block of 9th Street in reference to cardiac arrest at 4:15 p.m. Upon arrival, fire personnel began to administer CPR. Once EMS personnel were on the scene, they took over and transported the patient to the hospital.
4/25/2023 – DISPATCH 9:15 PM – CLEARED 9:55 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department received a call regarding a possible fire inside a dryer vent hose on the1900 block of Avenue H at 9:15 p.m. The caller reported the smell of a possible electrical fire. Upon arrival, fire personnel observed smoke and quickly extinguished the fire. The fire was contained to a small broom closet next to the dryer.
4/23/2023 – DISPATCH 1:26 PM – CLEARED 1:50 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department was dispatched to an alarm activation on the 100 block of Bowie Lane. The homeowner advised nobody was home. Upon arrival, fire personnel did not see any smoke and gained entry to the residence through the homeowner. After checking the residence, fire personnel were unable to locate a fire.
4/23/2023 – DISPATCH 10:18 AM – CLEARED 10:57 AM – LEVELLAND
The fire department was dispatched to the 1000 block of 9th Street in reference to reports of carbon monoxide at the residence. Upon arrival, fire personnel detected high levels of carbon monoxide and contacted Atmos Energy. All residents were advised to clear the residence and the residence was cleared of carbon monoxide.
4/22/2023 – DISPATCH 9:12 PM – CLEARED 9:35 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department received a call reporting a possible structure fire in the rear of a residence on the 1800 block of 10th Street at approximately 9:12 p.m. Upon arrival, fire personnel located a small trash fire in the backyard. The homeowner was made aware that they could not burn in the city limits and fire personnel extinguished the fire.
4/23/2023 – DISPATCH 1:26 PM – CLEARED 1:50 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department was dispatched to the 100 block of Bowie Lane regarding an alarm activation. Upon arrival, fire personnel were unable to locate smoke. Fire personnel gained entrance to the residence through the homeowner and checked the residence. There was no fire present in the residence.
4/23/2023 – DISPATCH 10:18 AM – CLEARED 10:57 AM – LEVELLAND
Fire personnel were dispatched to the 1000 block of 9th Street regarding reports of carbon monoxide present at residence. Upon arrival, high levels of carbon monoxide were detected. Atmos Energy was contacted and advised of the carbon monoxide in the residence. All residents were advised by fire personnel to clear the residence. The residence was cleared of carbon monoxide.
4/22/2023 – DISPATCH 9:12 PM – CLEARED 9:35 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department received a call of a possible structure fire at the back of a residence on the 1800 block of 10th Street. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a small trash fire in the backyard. The homeowner was informed that they were not allowed to burn in the city limits. Fire personnel extinguished the fire.
4/21/2023 – DISPATCH 11:11 AM – CLEARED 11:23 AM – LEVELLAND
The fire department was dispatched to the 100 block of Pat Street to check for gas in a residence. Upon arrival, fire personnel were unable to locate or detect gas.
4/20/2023 – DISPATCH 6:33 PM – CLEARED 7:30 PM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The police department received a call in reference to an unknown type of fire but was a possible grass fire. The caller believed the fire to be located near Ellis road and stated a large amount of smoke could be seen. Two fire units responded to the location and upon arrival fire personnel found what appeared to be a controlled burn behind a residence on the 2700 block of Belvedere Road. The property owned was located near the fire and he stated he was burning trash in a pit when the grass and lumber caught on fire. The property owner had extinguished most of the fire with a garden hose. Fire personnel extinguished the fire around the perimeter of the pit. The property owner stated he would remain near the fire pit until remaining items completely burned out. The report states fire department personnel had not received any calls of a controlled burn at the location.
4/14/2023 – DISPATCH 3:44 PM – CLEARED 5:06 PM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The fire department was dispatched to N Barton Lane and E State Highway 114 where a two-wreck vehicle had occurred. Upon arrival, all occupants were out of the vehicles and being tended to. Fire personnel stayed on the scene until wreckers picked up both vehicles and the scene was cleared.
4/12/2023 - DISPATCH 4:25 PM - CLEARED 5:21 PM LEVELLAND The fire department received a call reporting a wreck at E State Highway 114 and Eagle Avenue. Upon arrival, occupants of the vehicle were being treated by EMS personnel. Fire personnel stood by for traffic control and assisted with loading and cleanup with vehicle debris in the area.
4/11/2023 - DISPATCH 6:01 PM - CLEARED 6:16 PM LEVELLAND The fire department was dispatched to a dumpster fire at the law enforcement center on the 1300 block of Avenue H. Upon arrival, the fire was already out. Fire personnel sprayed down the contents of the dumpster.
