The Levelland Police officers conducted a traffic stop Friday evening at the intersection of West Avenue and Austin Street, which resulted in one arrest. Officers recovered a stolen firearm in addition to uncovering methamphetamine in the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was placed under arrest and transported to the Hockley County Jail. The individual was charged with theft of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance penalty group one.
