City of Sundown Library receives FMH grant

The City of Sundown Library has announced it is the recipient of a construction grant of $100,000 from the FMH Foundation.

The funds will be used to further the rehabilitation of a historic church into a new library.

Library Director, A’ndrea McAdams, shares, “We are humbled by the network of organizations such as the FMH Foundation who have embraced our vision in building better together.”

Over a halfdozen philanthropic organizations have provided the funds to redesign the space, giving a complete makeover from top to bottom.

“A majority of the FMH funds will purchase energyefficient windows for our 4,000-plus square foot building,” McAdams continues, “and some of the esports arena furnishings.”

The FMH Foundation was established in 2011 by Florence Marie Hall, a generous west Texas native. Their mission statement is “to further a vision toward reality,” and McAdams added the City of Sundown Library is sincerely appreciative of their investment in the dream of a transformative library space.
