The Hockley County Extension Office will begin the summer project series June 20. A limit of 12 children is placed on each activity except for fishing which has a limit of 15; each activity is seven dollars. Payment must be received by the Texas AgriLife Extension Office to guarantee a spot.
Activities name, dates and registration deadlines are as follows: - Fun with Food will be held June 20 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Extension Office for ages nine through 18. The registration deadline is June 13.
- Cosmetology will be held June 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at South Plains College Cosmetology for ages nine through 18. The registration deadline is June 20.
- Fishing will be held July 6 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Lobo Lake for ages nine through 18. The registration deadline is June 28.
- Rocketry will be held July 11 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Extension Office for ages nine through 14. The registration deadline is July 4.
- Beautification and Gardening will be held July 18 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Extension Office for ages nine through 18. The registration deadline is July 11.
- Photography will be held July 20 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Extension Office for the ages nine through 18. The registration deadline is July 12.
- Leather Craft will be held August 1 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Extension Office for the ages nine through 18. The registration deadline is July 25.
- Food Challenge Project will be held August 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the ages nine through 18. The registration deadline is July 25. The location has not been determined.
