The Hockley County Commissioners’ Court will be holding a regular meeting Monday, September 11, in the Commissioners’ Courtroom at 9 a.m.
The court will begin the meeting by approving the minutes of the August 28 regular meeting and consider approving the monthly bills and claims submitted to the court dated through September 11.
Additional action items slated for the meeting are as follows: Discussion and potential action concerning the purchase of a 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV, 4x2, from Duval Chevrolet for use by the Hockley County Sheriff’s Office to replace a totaled vehicle in accordance with Texas Local Government Code Section 262.024(2) and (3); Consider and take necessary action to award the bid for Design-Build Firm for demolition and construction of new parking lot; Discussion and potential action to make nominations for election of a member to the Hockley County Appraisal District Board of Directors 2024-2025; Consider and take necessary action to approve the FY 2024 Statewide Automated Victim Notification Service (SAVNS) Grant Contract; and Consider and take necessary action to approve ad valorem tax refunds.
