The Levelland City Council will be holding a regular meeting Monday, September 25, at city hall beginning at 6 p.m.
The items slated for the meeting are as follows: Consider and take necessary action to approve the minutes of the August 3, special meeting, the September 9, special meeting and the September 11, regular meeting; Staff update on the progress of the investigation into the Red Flour Beetles in the Kaufman Addition; Consider and take necessary action on the annual services agreement with the Levelland Chamber of Commerce for the fiscal year 2023-2024; Consider and take necessary action on Ordinance No. 1076 setting Utility Rates on a second and final reading.
Consider and take necessary action on Resolution No. 2023-28 approving an agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation regarding the closing of two blocks of state highway for the 2023 Trunk or Treat Event; Consider and take necessary action on Resolution No. 2023-29 reviewing and approving the City of Levelland Investment Policy; Consider and take necessary action on Resolution No. 2023-30 amending the fiscal year 20222023 budget.
Consider and take necessary action to approve Resolution No. 2023-31 to submit nominations for the Hockley County Appraisal District board of directors; Consider and take necessary action on an updated agreement with Levelland Independent School District for current School Resource Officers and consider budgeting an additional three School Resource Officers for LISD.
Consider and take necessary action on an interlocal agreement with the City of Ropesville regarding the transfer of tornado sirens; and Consider and take necessary action regarding board appointments to the City of Levelland boards and commissions.
