Main Street announces partnership

The Levelland Main Street, has announced they are proud to partner with Tanner Terrell Edward Jones, who is truly “making” a difference.

The 2022-2023 Main Street Board has been visionary in their approach to funding future Main Street Revitalization projects.

“People love to see their donations in action. They want to know that those dollars have truly made a difference, and what better way to inspire giving, than to offer a selection of projects that inspire them, at a price point that fits. We want people to look around downtown and be able to say we did that,” said Main Street Manager Tania Moody.

The Main Street Makers Program includes six levels of support: Main Street Visionary, Missioner, Mosaic, Streetscape, Movement and Member. Each level can be a one time donation or monthly. They range from $10 a month to $425 per month with the top tier being a one time gift of $10,000.

The vision is for this to allow individuals and businesses to help shape downtown into a place of their making. From new mosaics, to street-scapes, murals, seating, art installations, fountains, lighting, reading nooks and more.

Terrell, owner, operator of the downtown Levelland Edward Jones location, was the first to make a selection, Main Street Mosaic Member. His gift installed an additional mosaic handrail that will serve his clients and many others visiting the West side of the square, for year’s to come.

Terrell collaborated with Main Street on a design for each side of his handrail and once approved, went into production. The two mosaics pay homage to the financial industry as Edward Jones encourages you to plan for the future as they help you “Make sense of investing!”

Since 2021, funds raised by the Levelland Main Street program have refurbished 22 trash cans, added more pedestrian signage, created new ways to advertise downtown by partnering with the Mallet Event Center, Walmart and billboard signage. Main Street has installed 44 new planters, 43 new handrails, and 86 new mosaics.

In the works is a new downtown park, four giant planters with 16 more mosaics.

The Levelland Main Street is grateful for the continued support and investment that so many make in downtown. It is their hope that others will see this as an opportunity to help create the space they want to see and enjoy.

Every dollar makes a difference downtown. They have already had another wonderful organization reach out to create two more mosaics for downtown and are excited to share that with the community upon installation at a later date.
