The Hockley County Commissioners’ Court will be holding a regular meeting Monday, October 16, at 9 a.m. in the Hockley County Courthouse.

Read for approval the minutes of the regular meeting of the Commissioners’ Court held Monday, October 2, 2023; Consider for approval all monthly bills and claims submitted to the court dated through October 16, 2023; Consider and take necessary action to approve the Hockley County Treasurer’s 2023 3rd Quarterly Financial Report; Consider and take necessary action to approve Addendum B on the contract between Guardian RFID and Hockley County for inmate tracking and monitoring system for use in the Hockley County Jail; Consider and take action to approve notice of November 7th Special Constitutional Amendment Election; Consider and take necessary action to approve a donation of $20.00 to the Hockley County Memorial Library from Jimmie A. Batenhorst in memory of Vicki Wilkins-Williams for the purchase of children’s books; Consider and take necessary action to approve the 2023 Hockley County Resolution Indigent Defense Grant Program; Discussion and potential action to approve use of additional American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for capital case expenses; Consider and take necessary to approve the amended Partnership Agreement between the South Plains Regional Workforce Development Board and the Chief Election Officials for the South Plains Regional Workforce Development Area; Consider and take necessary action to approve Resolution 2023-8, the Texas Department of Agriculture, Texans Feeding Texans: Home-Delivered Meal Grant Program, Authorizing County Grant, Program Year 2023 in the amount of $937.50 to Hockley County Senior Citizens Association Inc.; Review the September 2023 fire runs as submitted by the City of Levelland; Consider and take necessary action to approve a Tax Deed for Tract Seven (7), in Block B, Eastside Addition, to the City of Anton, Hockley County, Texas (R9894) to be purchased by Shannon Riebe for the amount of $4,150.00; and Consider and take necessary action to approve the monthly reports due as per 114.044 Local Government Code as submitted by the Hockley County District Clerk, Hockley County Clerk, Hockley County Auditor and Justice of the Peace Precincts 1, 2, 4 and 5.
