Regular City Council meeting set Nov. 6

The City of Levelland City Council will be holding a regular meeting Monday, November 6, beginning at 6 p.m. at City Hall.

Consider and take necessary action to approve the minutes of the October 16, regular meeting; Staff update on the progress of the investigation into the Red Flour Beetles in the Kaufman Addition; Consider and take necessary on Ordinance No. 1077 regarding the Storage of Agricultural Commodities on a first reading; Hold a public hearing on the Levelland Community Development Corporation Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Park Projects; Consider and take necessary action on the Levelland Community Development Corporation Fiscal Year 20232024 Park Projects by the Levelland City Council; Consider and take necessary action to authorize participation in the 2024 Regional Group Seal Coat program; Consider and take necessary action to authorize the participation in the Hazard Mitigation Plan program administered by the South Plains Association of Governments. (SPAG);

Consider and take necessary action to authorize staff to initiate competitive procurement for vehicles and equipment included in the FY 2023-2024 Budget; Consider and take necessary action to authorize the design and bidding of the City of Levelland Landfill Type IVAE Cell 3 Excavation, Landfill MSW Landfill Permit No. 2369.

Consider and take necessary action to cast votes for the board of directors of the Hockley County Appraisal District; Consider and take necessary action to approve staff holidays for the 2024 calendar year; Convene into executive session in accordance with Tex. Gov’t Code §551.071 to seek the advice about pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offers or on matters in which duty of the attorney under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas conflicts with Tex. Gov’t Code Ch. 551. (Red Flour Beetles; Arxada/Envirotech); and Consider and take necessary action on items related to the executive session.
