On Tuesday, November 28, Hockley County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division conducted an investigation into potential prostitution activity.
During the investigation, it was determined a male subject was reportedly engaging in solicitation of prostitution and an operation was conducted to take him into custody for the suspected felony offense.
In the 700 block of East SH 114 investigators were position in the area and observed the individual enter the property.
Austin Pinkert, 37 years of age, of Levelland, was arrested for Solicitation of Prostitution and Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, 1<4 grams after a quantity of suspected methamphetamine was located when investigators detained him.
Pinkert was transported to the Hockley County Detention Center and booked without further incident.
Hockley County Sheriff Ray Scifres stated in a press release, “the diligent work of our investigators led to a safe apprehension in this case, and we are grateful for their dedication and commitment to public safety.”
The release also state the incident remains under investigation and all subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
