The Hockley County Junior Livestock Show and Sale are slated to begin January 16 and end January 20 at the Mallet Event Center and Arena in Levelland.
On January 16, goat and lamb move-ins will begin at 7 a.m. followed by ag mechanic project move-ins beginning at 8 a.m. Goat and breeding doe weight cards will be due at 9 a.m. Lamb weight cards will be due at 9 a.m. The goat show will begin at 10 a.m. followed by the lamb show. Hog move-ins will begin at 5 p.m. Steer and heifer weigh-ins will begin at 5 p.m.
On January 17, rabbit weighins will begin at 9 a.m. followed by the rabbit show beginning at 10 a.m. Hog weights will be due by 2 p.m. and the judging of ag mechanics projects will begin at 2 p.m. The heifer show will begin at 4 p.m. and the steer show will begin at 5 p.m. or a half-hour after the heifer show.
On January 18, the barrow show will begin at 9 a.m.
On January 20, the buyers lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. The awards and sale will begin at 12:30 p.m. and the ag project silent auction ends at 2:30 p.m.
