Jaime McCabe, born and raised right here in Levelland, has announced her candidacy for a spot on the Levelland City Council, District C.
McCabe has lived in Levelland for most of her life. When she and her husband, Tyler McCabe, were discussing where they’d like to start their life and raise their family after Tyler’s departure from the United States Navy, they decided Levelland would be the perfect place.
They have three children: Kason, who is a second grader at Capitol Elementary; Colt, who is a kindergartner at Levelland ABC; and Kyndall, who attends King’s Kids PDO at First Baptist Church.
McCabe says she teaches her children that in order to see change, they have to be the change and in following that motto she chooses to dedicate much of her time by being involved in the community.
She is a local realtor, and she keeps herself busy with several committees through LISD as well as serving as the Kindergarten President for the Parents In Action at Levelland ABC.
“Levelland is truly an amazing place to live and call home and I love watching us grow and continue to become an even better town. I am very passionate about Levelland and I will continue to pour my heart into this community, not only for my own family, but for the rest of the citizens as well,” McCabe said. “I want to be a voice for those who feel unheard. I want to build connections with my neighbors and build trust throughout the community. I want to do what is best for Levelland, and I believe that with the help from the rest of the Council I can do just that.”
McCabe will be on the ballot for the May 4th general election. Early voting will begin April 22 and will run through April 30.
All early voting will be held at the Hockley County Elections Office, located at 911 Austin St.
