Early voting began this week on May 20 and is extended to May 24 for the 2024 Republican Primary Runoff Election.

The Hockley County Election Office located 911 Austin Street in Levelland. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Sundown City Hall located at 809 S. Slaughter located in Sundown. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ropes City Hall located at 104 Hockley Main in Ropesville. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Anton City Hall located at 400 Spade Circle in Anton. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Election Day is slated for May 28, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Christ United Methodist Church located at 1704 College Avenue in Levelland. This location is for sections 11 and 16.
Ropes City Hall located at 107 Hockley Main in Ropesville. This location is for section 14.
Gary Cain Insurance located at 3392 S. State Road 168 (five miles south of Highway 114) located in Smyer. This location is for section 15.
The Sundown School Foyer located at 511 E. Seventh Street in Sundown. This location is for section 24.
The Hockley County Tax Office located at 624 Avenue H in Levelland. This location is for section 21, 32, 33, 35, 36 and 45.
The Whitharral Lions Club located at 201 Badger Street in Whitharral. This location is for section 43.
Anton City Hall located at 400 Spade Circle in Anton. This location is for section 44.
The Smyer Elementary School Library located at 401 Lincoln located in Smyer. This location is for section 46.
Following the Primary Election held March 5, two races within Hockley County were moved to a runoff election which included the Hockley County Sheriff’s position and the Hockley County Commissioner of Precinct One.
The results for the March election were as follows:
Hockley County Sheriff Jared W. Dockery with 1,500 votes; Chris Wischkaemper with 1,440 votes and Joseph (Jody) Guerra with 250 votes. The runoff will include Dockery and Wischkaemper on the ballet.
Hockley County Commissioner of Precinct One Alan Wisdom with 610 votes; Curtis Thrash with 447 votes and David Atkinson with 221 votes. The runoff will include Wisdom and Thrash on the ballet.
