Letter to the Editor

Folks I need a little help. I’m at an impasse.

The arithmetic teachings taught to me at ole’ Sundown High and a couple of college years in the military just don’t register with what is happening with the government.

The dilemma to me is that our Social Security and Medicare could become insolvent in a decade or so.

What our government is trying to convey to us all is that these two major agencies that millions of Americans depend on is broke.

The eccentric President, that occupies the oval office evidently thinks that money grows on trees or tumble weeds for anything other than the American taxpayer whose money he is allocating with abandonment to other nations even as we speak.

Charity should begin at home. Let us use these income tax dollars to address problems within our own country first and then give help to other friendly nations.

Sending billions of dollars, we don’t have to foreigners at war with one another just doesn’t make sense. “Billions!” People those are some large numbers followed by nine zeros. My simple little mind fails to fathom that figure!

What’s more annoying is that the President and congress seems to be sending U.S. tax dollars and aid to both Isarel and the Hamas.

Would someone please make me understand why I think that’s not kosher.

I’m at a wits end. If I still guzzled alcohol like I did in my past I’d guzzle.
