The City of Sundown have announced there will be adjusted hours for City Hall and Public Works beginning June 3.
Starting June 3, the days of operation will be Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Friday’s the hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
It was explained that the new schedule will better serve the Sundown community by providing several key benefits such as: Extended Service Availability: By opening earlier Monday through Thursday, residents have more flexibility to access city services before their working hours.
Enhanced Employee Productivity: The new schedule promotes a healthier work-life balance for city employees, which is expected to increase overall productivity and job satisfaction.
Energy and Cost Savings: With City Hall and Public Works closing earlier on Fridays, the city will reduce energy consumption, leading to significant cost savings and a smaller environmental footprint.
Improved Public Access: The earlier start time and extended hours during the weekdays will make it more convenient for residents who need to visit city offices before their workday.
